Staring at the mirror again
I scoff at the self absorption
As he returns to the car mirror.
Constant rechecking.
Eyes flickering
Road, mirror, but then
I realise you are staring
At the van following behind.
That was the day I understood
Your true love for mirrors.
A tool forewarning you of a threat,
Allowing you to drive your family to safety.
